DLC released the official version of plant light V2.0
On September 15, 2020, DLC released the official version of the plant light V2.0 standard, which will be implemented on March 21, 2021. Prior to this, all DLC applications for plant lights will continue to be reviewed according to the requirements of the V1.2 standard.

§Updated content of the official version of Plant Light V2.0§
►01 Keep the requirement of V1.2 version PPE≥1.9μmol/J unchanged
In the first draft of the plant lamp V2.0, DLC plans to increase the PPE photosynthetic photon efficiency value to 2.10μmol/J. However, after collecting feedback on the draft, DLC realized that plant lights are an emerging market. For the continued development of the market, DLC decided to keep the current V1.2 standard PPE photosynthetic photon efficiency requirements unchanged, while maintaining -5 The% tolerance remains unchanged.
In addition, DLC adds 2 optional report parameters, 280-800nm photon flux parameters and efficiency parameters. The radiation in this range is usually related to the growth and development effects of plants.
►02 Revised terminology to comply with ASABE (S640)
DLC revised some policy terms to better align with the American Society of Agriculture and Biological Engineering (ASABE) ANSI/ASABE S640 definition.
►03 Safety certification requirements comply with UL8800
The safety certificate obtained for plant lighting products must be issued by OSHA NRTL or SCC and comply with the standard ANSI/UL8800 (ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 8800).
►04 Request TM-33-18 data
DLC will request to provide PPID and SQD data information derived from the TM-33-18 standard.
►05 Family Series Application
DLC will accept applications for the Family series of plant lights in order to reduce the burden of testing and application fees.
§ The product is a requirement of a Family
• The same LED must be used;
• Must have the same structure, including electrical, optical and heat dissipation structures;
• Can contain different drivers;
• Under the condition of not affecting the heat dissipation, different mounting brackets can be included;
• Must contain a complete and detailed model name;
• A model name can only correspond to one brand. When the product is sold under multiple brands, the model name needs to be distinguished accordingly.
►06 Private Label listing application
DLC will accept applications for the Private Label listing of plant lights.
